Hey everyone, Tuesday May 14th is BC's Provincial Election. Please get out and exercise your democratic right. Many people have gone to jail and some have died so you would have the right to vote. I also urge you most strongly to vote strategically. The Green Party CANNOT win. I urge you to vote NDP so we can get rid of Christy Clark. Our environment, our people in need and our economy can't handle another four years of the BC Liberals.
Joe Keithley just participated in an interview with Billy Bragg and Mike Watt (Minutemen, Iggy Pop bassist) about the passing of Margaret Thatcher.
The interview airs on CBC One tomorrow at 10 AM EST

Sudden Death Records is delighted to release the new Jenny album Love & Politics. Jenny, hailing from Calgary, Canada, is an explosive four piece group, that adroitly combines tales of love, politics and if I dare say, the Canadian soul. They blend heartfelt folk and riveting punk that gets you four chords and comes perilously close to the truth...

OK good luck - Joe Keithley / sudden Death Records / D.O.A.
A new review has been posted online for D.O.A.'s newest cd "We Come In Peace"
"Classic. Essential. Legendary. All good - and accurate - ways to describe D.O.A. Dig this new album on their own Sudden Death Records, reviewed by The Impaler below for Mass Movement 34, a work in progress. Come on… give punk a chance.
We Come In Peace' is as much a declaration of D.O.A.'s mission on this, the band's 14th studio album of all-new material, as it is a way to identify this collection of songs by serving as the album's title. Always a fiercely political band, D.O.A. have upped the ante here by jumping headfirst into the fray of the messy and chaotic shit-storm that is today's less-than-stable worldwide political environment, tackling the financial crisis, the Occupy movement, shady dealings by top officials, systemic bigotry, and other important issues – both those that have been ripped from the headlines and those that have been culled from buried stories and the underground press."

Joe explains, "I am seeking the NDP nomination in the riding of Coquitlam - Burke Mountain in the next B.C. provincial election. I have decided, at this time, this will be the best way for me to make a positive difference in this world. My friends, nothing has changed for me, justice for all.
Talk - Action = 0
Thanks my friends - Joe Keithley".
D.O.A.'s Yamaha Snare Drum – SOLD
Joe Shithead Keithley/D.O.A. Gibson Custom SG guitar - SOLD
I purchased this head at the Marshall factory in England in 1985, we met Jim Marshall that day. I have used this head for a 1000 shows and it can be heard on eight different D.O.A. albums. It's appearance is certainly game worn but it sounds great. $3,500.00
"D.O.A- We Come In Peace
When it comes to hardcore, few bands have stood the test of time as well as D.O.A have. They've managed to remain politically relevant in an age where other bands have lost their edge and their venom. It would not be a D.O.A album if it were not a narrative on the current affairs in the world. "He's Got A Gun" throws a catchy, old-school vibe to back up lyrics that concern school shootings"
